Beautiful in its architectural simplicity, as of the protestant tradition, the Central Adventist Church captures a deep sense of the sacred.

Church of the Sé

Igreja da Sé, the Catholic Central Church, is one of the most imponent monuments in the capital.

National Museum

The National Museum, a Former Fort controlling the seas of Sao Tome, it’s a beautiful monument in itself. Visiting its several rooms you will find many rarities including the first Santomese flag to be hoisted.

Mouth of Hell - Boca do Inferno

The Boca do inferno (hell’s mouth) is an amazing blowhole where you will probably want to return for a second and third visit. Every new visit will provide a different experience as each tide or condition of the sea will make the blow and sounds associated differ and special. The name is mysterious and I wonder if it may have been influenced by the basalt-octagons reminding huge teeth; or the mouth shaped lava tube; or the sounds heard.
There is a legend associated with this place, a good description can be found in:

Praia Banana

In Principe, you will probably think that you found paradise looking from the belvedere of Belo Monte, to this banana shaped beach called Praia Banana (Banana Beach). On your way down to the beach, from Belo Monte (Beautiful Mount), you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of beautiful birds and tree jumping monkeys, before realizing that indeed you found a piece of paradise.
